Potent relics—artifacts imbued with unimaginable power—were used to cleave the fabric of the universe, birthing two distinct dimensions: Earth and Atriad. The true intentions behind those relics and the identities of their wielders have been lost to myth.
The Divine Experiment
Unbeknownst to most, Atriad was conceived as a testing ground by a higher power—a place where the essence of creation could be observed and nurtured before manifesting fully on Earth. This higher power sought to understand free will, morality, and the capacity for good and evil within sentient beings.
The Devil’s Interference
A fallen celestial being perceived the experiment and sought to undermine it. The Devil shattered fragments of reality—the relics—and scattered them across Earth. These relics were remnants of creation, not meant for mortal hands. Their presence seeded chaos and discord, aligning with the Devil’s design to corrupt and manipulate humanity.
The Great Flood and Exodus to Atriad
During the cataclysm remembered as the Great Flood, a group of desperate humans discovered a relic. As a last resort they activated its power, transporting themselves to Atriad. They became the progenitors of human civilization in the new world, carrying only fragments of memory and legend.
The Relics and the Rift
The relics are fragments of divine essence capable of bending reality, opening portals, and granting immortality. Their scattering was a strategic disruption, a way to introduce chaos and thin the boundary between worlds.
The Cult of the Followers
On Earth, a clandestine group known as the Followers emerged. Obsessed with relics, they perform dark rituals involving blood and extreme pain to open rifts to Atriad. Their goal is power, escape, or dominion. Unwittingly, they further the Devil’s plans by destabilizing the boundary between worlds.
God’s Silent Challenge
The higher power—God—is aware of the Devil’s machinations but chooses a path of indirect intervention. Believing in humanity’s potential for goodness, God allows events to unfold, aiming to show that righteousness can win even under pressure. Atriad becomes the stage where this war plays out through human choices.
Ezible: The Immortal Unifier
In 2024, a pivotal figure named Ezible is sacrificed in a Followers’ rite. Instead of dying, she is transported to Atriad, granted immortality by the relic’s unintended activation. With knowledge of Earth up to 2023, she is thrust back in time and becomes one of the earliest humans on Atriad.
Ezible struggles with isolation and visions that blur divine messages, demonic influence, and her own psyche. Her existence becomes a quiet counterweight to the Devil’s schemes.
The Eternal Conflict
The hidden war between heaven and hell continues to influence events on Atriad. The Devil manipulates individuals and societies, fostering division and the misuse of relics. God inspires prophets, heroes, and ordinary people toward unity and mercy. This cosmic struggle remains mostly obscured, hinted at through myths, prophecies, and unexplained phenomena.
