Warfronts — Mass Battle Simulator
Warfronts is the standalone large-scale battle game for 4671. Use it when the conflict is too big for a roleplaying encounter but too important to hand-wave away. It should feel like maps on tables, shouted orders, exhausted reserves, collapsing morale, and the ugly clarity of seeing whole formations treated like pieces on a board.
What It Does
- Simulates large‑scale battles with units, orders, and terrain.
- Runs fast at the table using simple dice resolution.
- Scales across eras with light “era overlays.”
Scale
Choose one scale and stick with it:
- Tactical Table: 1 unit = 50–100 troops or 1 vehicle platoon.
- Operational Table: 1 unit = 200–500 troops or a battalion element.
Dice Engine (Core)
Warfronts uses d6 dice pools:
- Roll a number of dice equal to the unit’s Attack (ATK).
- Each 5–6 is a hit.
- The target’s Armor (ARM) reduces hits (minimum 0).
- Remaining hits remove Strength (STR).
Victory
A battle ends when one side:
- Breaks opposing morale (rout),
- Holds objectives for the required rounds,
- Or completes a scenario condition.
Use Warfronts when you want the campaign to remember that armies, not just heroes, also shape history.
