d20 + Attribute + Skill + PB (if proficient) + Item/Legacy/Traits vs DC.
Standard DCs
- 10 easy
- 12 routine
- 14 tricky
- 16 hard
- 18 expert
- 20+ heroic
Edge/Hindrance
- Edge: roll 2d20, keep highest.
- Hindrance: roll 2d20, keep lowest.
Fortune Uses
You have Fortune points per session = Fortune rating (minimum 0). Spend to:
- Re‑roll a d20 you just rolled (keep new).
- Turn a hit against you into a glance (half damage) once per scene (cost 2).
- Declare a minor coincidence (ST sets limits).
Initiative
Roll d20 + Agility (or Insight if preparing an ambush). Highest to lowest.
Optional: Group Initiative
PCs vs NPCs. Sides alternate; PCs choose their order.
