Understanding Expansions

  • Lore Books (Major): each adds an era, maps, classes, items, hazards, and a full campaign.
  • Story Packs: add locales/arcs inside a Lore Book.
  • Item Packs: add gear/crafting trees; require the parent Lore Book.

Integration Rules

  • Respect Era Symbols.
  • Cross‑era items require an explicit story vector (rift/tech). Otherwise apply pricing and penalties.
  • Legacy persists across campaigns; Heirloom sticker allows cross‑era inheritance.

Glossary (Quick)

  • DEF: Defense target number.
  • Soak: flat reduction to incoming physical damage.
  • Save: roll to resist effects.
  • PB: Proficiency Bonus.
  • Edge/Hindrance: advantage/disadvantage analog.
  • Omen Clock: 4‑step track for growing threats.
  • Legacy Sticker (LS): permanent modifier to an item.
  • Heirloom: legacy tag allowing cross‑era inheritance.

Intermission Tools (Templates)

  • Shop Sheet: era stock + rarity seeds + dynamic pricing formula.
  • Workbench: allowed fusions, DCs, parts.
  • Rest Tracker: rests, LS installed, repairs.
  • Travel Card: encounter frequency, terrain DC, weather/hazard table.
  • Combat Ref: cover chart, conditions, action list.
